Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou, We Are All From Kawai Dormitory
Adapted from manga that has same title, this 12 episodes are full of laughter, dirty-jokes-but-you-can-tollerate-it, and women-complexities. The story is simple and way too common actually, about a high school boy who wants to live by himself, has a crush on his senpai, and a daily life with his crazy friends, but this anime gives a new color of a high school boy life.
Kazunari Usa, who always think that his middle school was a disaster finally becomes a high school boy. He admires a calm and peacefull life, and of course, a date too. He has a crush with his senpai, short haired girl whom always be seen in the library. Thanks to Usa's parents' transfer job, he can live by himself now in the Kawai-complex, a boarding house which provides meals for its residents. Placed in a quiet area that has a lot of old-houses is just perfect to be Usa's utopia, until he meet Shirosaki, a weirdo who loves to peep the grade schools but moral, looks like a unemployment-homeless-and-never-take-care-of-his-body person, often get caught by cops, and weirdest part of him, he is ultra mashochist person. Later you will know that Shiro is Usa's roommate :v
Like pouring a salt over the Usa's wound about his calm and peacefull life, there are other residents that in the same level of weirdness with Shiro. Mayumi, a beautiful big-breasted office lady who has no luck in finding men always tease about Usa's virginity and make a dirty-joke about that. She often over-react about everything espesially her ex and the other girls she know's love life. Top model of fussy-career-woman, always complain, really care about having a boyfriend, and treats Shiro as her dog. The Kawai-complex will be completely quiet without her. There is also Sayaka, a perfect partner with Mayumi as a duo-laugh-maker in Kawai-complex. She is a predator college woman who has a sharp tongue and can read the others mind. You wont meet a chance to see her without her make-up, even if you do you will know the true meaning of phrase, 'power of make up' lol. While Mayumi always show her weakness, Sayaka never do. And Kawai-complex's manager, Sumiko, a granny who is so wise, yet so nerd as well.
At first, Usa wants to leave Kawai-complex cause of its overwhelming noisy, but later he learn that senpai he admires lives there too. Ritsu, a loner student who loves books more than everything. She rarely speak and show her emotion, yes, the right opposite of the rest residents, but this girl is the excact creature to show you how complex a woman can be. For additional information, she is the granddaughter of Sumiko's older brother. Everytime a person in Kawai-complex annoys her, she will curse him/her with the powerful sentence, 'I'll triple your rent'. stabbedrightinthekokoro.
With awesome members, live in Kawai-complex never been boring. Shiro always do something new everyday, somehow he has a unique way of enjoy the life *lets forget about his mashochistic part* and the other members will easily atrracted and join him. During meal-time, all of them will be gathered in a room to eat together. Usa always wait for this moment so he can be near with Ritsu, even she obviously date with her book. Chat and easy talk always fulled to this room, Mayumi's tease towards Usa, Sayaka's ability to talk back Mayumi's words, make you wont want to miss the dinner time!
Day after day, Usa seems about to give up about his calm and peacefull life and starts to see this Kawai-complex in a different way. Espesially about Ritsu. Behind her calmness and always be expresionless, Ritsu has a adorable smile, and can be talkactive if its about books. Its kind of hard for Usa to fully understand her, and Mayumi's jokes always make Ritsu misundertand that make everything worse -_- but thats one of the unique thing in this anime, and Mayumi's jokes are really funny jokes, I laughed until i couldnt make the sound of laugh :/
If you are fan of comedy-romance story, this anime is a good for you but dont expect something so lovey-doveying, dealing with someone like Ritsu is similar with solving a super-hard-level of puzzle so their love story isnt that much progressing. Well there are several sweet moments tho. Even so, i was not bored watching this, as I said before this anime has a new color. They served the daily-lives of crazy people in a funny way, not too light, not too deep. The development of each character is good too, all of them has the same portion!
These 12 episodes are worth watching, its ending is good too, but once more, dont expect about Usa and Ritsu's progress lol. Unfortunately i couldnt find a good quote from this anime like i usually do, maybe cause its only fun there XD anyway happy watching!
